These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Relief Market platform, including the website at https://reliefmarket.ng and the Relief Market mobile application (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Relief Market Enterprise ("we", "our", or "us").
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the Relief Market website and mobile application.
- "User" refers to any person who accesses or uses the Platform, including customers, vendors, and delivery partners.
- "Customer" refers to a registered user who purchases products through the Platform.
- "Vendor" refers to a registered seller who lists and sells products through the Platform.
- "Delivery Partner" refers to an individual registered to fulfil deliveries through the Platform.
- "Order" refers to a purchase transaction initiated by a customer on the Platform.
- "Wallet" refers to the in-app balance held on behalf of a user for transactions on the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. Relief Market Enterprise reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to contain false information.
3. Account Registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at support@reliefmarket.ng if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- We reserve the right to deactivate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Marketplace and Orders
Relief Market Enterprise operates as a marketplace connecting customers with independent vendors. We are not the seller of the products listed on the Platform. Vendors are solely responsible for the accuracy of their product listings, pricing, and availability.
- Orders are subject to vendor acceptance and product availability.
- Prices displayed are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and are set by vendors.
- Relief Market Enterprise charges a commission on vendor sales as disclosed to vendors at the time of registration.
- We reserve the right to cancel orders in cases of suspected fraud, pricing errors, or unavailability.
5. Payments and Wallet
- Payments are processed securely through Paystack. By making a payment, you agree to Paystack's terms of service.
- Wallet top-ups are non-refundable except in cases of verified technical errors.
- Wallet balances cannot be transferred to another user's account.
- Relief Market Enterprise is not a financial institution and the wallet is not a bank account. No interest is earned on wallet balances.
- In the event of account termination, any remaining wallet balance will be reviewed and refunded at our discretion within 30 days.
6. Delivery
- Delivery is fulfilled by independent delivery partners registered on the Platform.
- Delivery fees are calculated based on your location and the delivery zone and are displayed before order confirmation.
- Estimated delivery times are indicative only and may vary due to traffic, weather, or other factors.
- Relief Market Enterprise is not liable for delays caused by delivery partners, vendors, or circumstances beyond our control.
- You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. We are not liable for failed deliveries due to incorrect addresses.
7. Group Buys
- Group buys allow multiple customers to collectively purchase a product at a shared price.
- Payment for group buy participation is collected upfront and held until the group buy reaches its target or deadline.
- If a group buy does not reach its target by the deadline, all participants will be refunded to their wallet.
- Once a group buy is fulfilled, cancellations are not permitted.
8. Vendor Obligations
By registering as a vendor, you agree to:
- List only products you are authorised to sell and that comply with applicable Nigerian laws.
- Ensure product descriptions, images, and prices are accurate and not misleading.
- Fulfil accepted orders promptly and to the standard described in your listing.
- Not engage in price manipulation, fake reviews, or any fraudulent activity.
- Accept that Relief Market Enterprise may remove listings or suspend your account for violations of these Terms.
9. Delivery Partner Obligations
By registering as a delivery partner, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal and vehicle information during registration.
- Handle all deliveries with care and professionalism.
- Update order status accurately and in a timely manner through the Platform.
- Not misappropriate goods entrusted to you for delivery.
- Comply with all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users, vendors, or delivery partners.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Platform without our written consent.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate any part of the Platform.
11. Cancellations and Refunds
- Customers may cancel an order before it is confirmed by the vendor. Once confirmed, cancellations are subject to vendor approval.
- Refunds for cancelled or failed orders are credited to the customer's wallet within 24 hours.
- Disputes regarding product quality must be raised within 24 hours of delivery through the in-app customer service system.
- Relief Market Enterprise will mediate disputes between customers and vendors but does not guarantee refunds in all cases.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including logos, design, text, graphics, and software, is the property of Relief Market Enterprise or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Relief Market Enterprise shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits.
- The acts or omissions of vendors, delivery partners, or third-party service providers.
- Platform downtime, technical errors, or interruptions beyond our reasonable control.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the value of the transaction giving rise to the claim.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Relief Market Enterprise, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
15. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to the Platform, other users, or Relief Market Enterprise. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
